The Way I Used To Be Review

This book is everything I never knew I needed. Beautifully written. I read this book in a day, so attached to Eden and her story. I’m still drying the tears as I write this review right now. Unfortunately I feel like this journey Amber Smith writes about is too real for some women. I really think this book should be read by everyone, to show just how much one night can truly tear someone apart.

Eden’s life is flipped completely upside-down after her brothers best friend, Kevin, rapes her one night and threatens to kill her if she tells anyone. Then comes the aftermath. Told in four parts, each representing a year of her high school experience, you see her go from this wholesome band geek nerd who is genuinely a good person, to someone you’d never imagine.

Great for people who enjoy:

  • Real Life Scenarios
  • Tough To Swallow Plots
  • Emotional Reads
